Bodman-Ludwigshafen is a holiday village on Lake Constance. There are bathing areas with over 100 years of tradition, and the area is perfect for active tourism.
The town was created from two pre-existing villages, which were known as good places to relax since the 19th century. Ludwigshafen Beach is one of the oldest on Lake Constance and you can see here, among others historic bath pavilion. Currently, like the Bodman Bathing Center, it is well developed, and in the season it is under the care of lifeguards.
Bodman-Ludwigshafen also has a small harbor, boat, canoe and pedal boat rentals, and many walking routes. Often visited is the one leading along the lake and allowing you to admire the vast views.
The neighborhood can also boast interesting monuments. On the hill there are ruins of the Gothic Altbodman Castle, which are a great viewpoint over the lake. There is also the historic Frauenberg monastery, which can be reached via one of the hiking trails.
