Located on the Irish Sea, Blackpool is a popular English summer resort. Popularized in the mid-nineteenth century, it still attracts holiday-makers to its sandy beaches. In their vicinity are the main attractions of the village, such as the three piers, modeled on the Eiffel Tower Blackpool Tower and the largest amusement park in the British Isles Pleasure Beach Blackpool.

Blackpool's popularity is associated with very good conditions for seaside recreation. They were noticed already in the nineteenth century and since then crowds of tourists have been attracted to the city each year. Currently, the biggest magnet for them is the Pleasure Beach Blackpool, which houses one of the largest roller coaster in the world. Sandcastle Water Park with the longest indoor water slide in Great Britain is also very popular. Above the coast is a 158-meter metal tower. On its top there is a viewing terrace with a glass floor, and on the lower floors there is, among others, a children's playroom, a circus, an aquarium and the so-called Ball Room for rest.

There are three walking piers on the beach in Blackpool, the longest of which is over half a kilometer long. There are shops, restaurants and a Ferris wheel. An attraction located far from the sea are the Winter Gardens entertainment and conference center and a zoo inhabited by 1,500 animals from around the world.
