Rimini is the most important Italian seaside resort. Successive generations of Italians have been coming here since the 19th century, and crowds of tourists from around the world have been coming for over fifty years. Sandy beaches, excellent infrastructure, two amusement parks and a small but picturesque Old Town with monuments from Roman times provide a great atmosphere for relaxation.
The sandy beach in Rimini stretches for almost 10 km. It is divided into sectors and largely purchased by hotels that have room for their guests here. The public beach is number 1 and you can rent beach chairs, umbrellas and water equipment. There are bars and restaurants along the entire length of the beach. There are also pitches. The beach ends near the picturesque harbor where the Oceanarium is located. You can not only meet animals living in the sea waters, but also take part in the dolphin show. Rimini is also a place known for its amusement parks. Fiabilandia operates in the city itself, and a few kilometers from it one of the largest Italian theme parks Mirabilandia.
The center of Rimini is a small Old Town. It is surrounded by new districts built up with hotels and guesthouses. The city has a Roman pedigree and you can see, among others, the Arch of Augustus and the Tiberius Bridge from the 1st century. The city's ornament is the unfinished early Renaissance church of Tempio Malatestiano with valuable sculptures decorating the interior. The whole Old Town, like the streets adjacent to it, are full of restaurants, bars and discos.
