The museum is housed in the former Jesuit monastery and documents the rich history of Rimini since ancient times. The main exhibition is devoted to finds from the Roman period from the city and surrounding area.
Surgical tools that were discovered in the so-called Surgeon's Villa are presented here. The second of the exhibitions, in turn, presents works of art from Rimini from the period from the 13th to the 20th century. A large part of them are paintings, decorative fabrics, handicraft products created at the request of the court of Malatests, who ruled Rimini at the turn of the Middle Ages and the modern era.
