The French Museum of Natural History is one of the largest institutions of this type in the world. In Paris, it has its headquarters in the Jardin des Plantes. It consists of several galleries, including the famous Evolution Gallery, zoos, parks and smaller museums throughout the country.
The museum was established during the French Revolution to document the history of life on Earth and made natural discoveries.
