Botanical Gallery
Local name: Galerie de Botanique
The Plant Gallery is part of the French National Museum of Natural History. Located within the Jardin des Plantes. There is the world's largest herbarium with about 8 million specimens of plants.
The gallery presents plant species from all Earth's climate zones. They are divided by taxonomy. Individual species and varieties can be compared. Leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds collected in various places around the world were shown in the showcases and drawers.
The gallery is currently undergoing a process of modernizing the exhibition. Therefore, a tropical jungle was created on the ground floor of the building. Entering the room you can feel like in the equatorial forest. We owe this not only to properly selected vegetation, but also to created climate conditions.
