Leogang is an alpine village and the center of skiing and cycling tourism. It belongs to the enormous, over 400 km of pistes of the Saalbach Hinterglemm - Leogang Fieberbrunn - Zell am See - Kaprun ski area.
Situated on the edge of mountain valleys, Leogang is the gateway to a ski paradise located on the higher slopes. All valleys included in the resort are well connected and connected by lifts and ski buses. The routes vary in difficulty, from those intended for beginners to very demanding. They are served by modern cable cars and lifts, such as the Flying Tox XXL, the Leogang cable car or the Steinberg Leogang cable car. All the villages in the valleys have a well-developed accommodation base and provide a wide selection of apres-ski attractions.
In summer, Leogang turns into a center of active tourism, mainly cycling. The most famous Austrian mountain biking trails are located here. One of the greatest attractions of Leogang is the Bicycle Park, within which routes have been marked out on which championship competitions can be held. Since 2011, the town has regularly hosted the Mountain Bike World Cup.
There are also many hiking trails in the area. They lead to the upper valleys as well as to the surrounding peaks, including Asitzkopf, Birnhorn and Kreuzjoch.
