Val-d'Illiez is a tourist destination at the foot of the Dents du Midi mountain in the Alps. On its territory there is the village of Les Crosets, which is a ski center with several dozen kilometers of ski slopes. In summer, in turn, the area is often visited by tourists who like mountain hikes, climbing and via ferrata routes.
The main attraction of Val-d'Illiez is the ski resort of Les Crosets (Portes du Soleil). It has several dozen kilometers of ski and snowboard slopes, a snow park and excellent accommodation and catering facilities. They are served by numerous lifts and cable cars, such as the Les Crosets cable car.
In summer, Val-d'Illiez offers over 100 km of hiking paths both through the valleys and to the more demanding peaks surrounding the valley. There are also via ferrata routes and training in climbing techniques. Many of the surrounding peaks have climbing routes that are accessible to those with the right equipment and skills. There are also recreational and sports areas in the village. There is also a thermal bath with water at 32 degrees Celsius.
