Lenk is a tourist destination in the Alps, in the Adelboden-Lenk ski region in the Simmental valley. There are almost 200 km of ski slopes here, and in summer the area is a perfect place for mountain hiking.
The village has nice, traditional alpine architecture with many preserved historic wooden buildings. In the 20th century, hotels, guesthouses and apartments for rent in a similar style grew around them. As a result, the village retained its traditional character.
The main attraction of Lenk are the local ski runs at an altitude of 1068 to 2100 m above sea level. In the Adelboden-Lenk ski area, there are approx. 200 km of pistes of various levels of difficulty, as well as snow parks, freeride tracks and cross-country tracks. They are served by several roller coasters and several dozen ski lifts, including the Lenk cable car and the Metschstand cable car. They are accompanied by excellent accommodation, catering and aprèsque services.
In summer, hiking is possible around Lenk. The local waterfalls of Simmenfälle and Iffigfall are a popular excursion destination. Thanks to the year-round cable cars, you can get to the higher routes and numerous viewpoints.
