Local name: Pałac Kultury i Nauki

The Palace of Culture and Science is the tallest building in Poland - it measures 237 meters. On 44 floors, there are 3288 rooms, including theaters, museums, cinemas, institutes of universities, as well as conference rooms and rooms adapted to the organization of fairs. On the 30th floor there is also an observation deck, which allows you to look at Warsaw from a height of 114 meters.

The Palace of Culture and Science is one of the symbols of Warsaw and one of the must-see sightseeing points of the capital. As the name suggests, it brings together various scientific and cultural institutions. It was built in the 1950s.

The originator of the palace was Józef Stalin. The project was created by an architect of Soviet origin, Lew Rudniw, who wanted to introduce Polish accents to the project, sought inspiration while traveling around Polish cities.
