Geiranger is a small village on the shores of the Geirangerfjorden. This area is one of the most attractive for tourists in this part of Norway, and its natural and cultural landscape has been included in the UNESCO list.

The village now lives mainly from servicing the tourist traffic in the Geirangerfjorden area. It is one of Norway's main ports for cruise ships and ferries. There are several hotels, campsites, guesthouses and seasonal restaurants here. The tourist season here is relatively short and lasts from May to August.

Its spectacular location, surrounded by rock walls falling almost vertically into the waters of the fjord, makes Geiranger one of the most picturesque towns in Norway. One of the best places to admire the surrounding area is the Flydalsjuvet Viewpoint.

One of Geiranger's greatest attractions is sightseeing cruises on the Geirangerfjorden. They take place on board ferries and cruise ships. You can also use the services of numerous agencies such as Geiranger Fjordservice AS, which can arrange complete day trips in the area. During the cruise, in addition to the steep slopes falling into the fjord, you can also admire monumental waterfalls, the most famous of which is the Seven Sisters Waterfall. From Geiranger you can also go hiking to the Geiranger Falls.
