Flydalsjuvet is a popular viewpoint from which you can admire the Geirengerfjord (on the UNESCO World Heritage List). It is easy to reach it from the town of Geirenger, a trail leading here along road number 63 leads here. The small protruding rock shelf known from the photographs is one of the visiting cards of this area.
Tourists can take advantage of two viewing terraces, the upper and the lower. On the lower level there is an interesting installation called "Fjordsetet". It is a kind of concrete-wooden armchair on which visitors sit to admire the unusual views. The installation was unveiled solemnly by Queen Sonja in 2003.
The vantage point was modernized and secured as part of the "Nasjonale turistveger" program (National Tourist Routes), in its new form it was made available to tourists in 2006.
