Gudbrandsjuvet Gorge

There is a local legend associated with the gorge through which the Valldøla River flows. In the 16th century, a man named Gudbrand fled this way with his young wife from enemies. To save himself, he had to jump over the gorge, he managed to escape, but he could not return to his old life, so he lived in a hut in the wilderness.
