The highest vertical wall in Europe, measuring approximately 1,100 meters high, is in the Trolltindene mountain range. In the 1980s it was a popular spot among BASE jumpers, but after the tragic death of their precursor Carl Boenish after the jump from Stabben they were banned in this area.
