Syvota is a tourist destination on the Ionian Sea. It is located far from the main leisure centers of this part of Greece and offers the possibility of a peaceful rest in the green surroundings of coastal forests.
Although the town has ancient roots, until the mid-20th century it remained only one of the many fishing villages on the coast. It began to develop as a holiday resort only several decades ago. The first hotels and holiday apartments were built then. Today Syvota is a thriving, though small, resort with a wide range of accommodation facilities and access to numerous beaches.
The most famous beach of Syvota, Bella Vraka is located on the tiny islet of Mourtemento. It can be reached by boats. Other popular beaches nearby are Mega Ammos, Gallikos Molos and Mikri Ammos.
