Monastery of Paleokastritsa
Local name: Μοναστήρι Παλαιοκαστρίτσας
A large monastery complex standing in the forest, on a hill dominating the area. Its history dates back to the 13th century, but the present buildings were built in the 18th century. In addition to the church with colorful polychromes, there is also a museum with a collection of icons and liturgical objects. The monastery produces olive oil using a historic press from the 19th century.
