Angelokastro

Ruins of a Byzantine fortress that is part of the Corfu medieval fortification system. It is one of the most important military monuments throughout Greece. The castle occupies the top of a steep hill from which you can admire the views of the surrounding area. Defensive walls, several towers, two chapels with remnants of frescoes and a residential building have been preserved.
