Triberg im Schwarzwald is a tourist destination in the Black Forest. It is surrounded by forested mountains with picturesque valleys and numerous hiking trails. There are, among others one of the highest waterfalls in Germany.

The village is the tourist center of the southern Black Forest and, since the 19th century, also a center for the production of wooden cuckoo clocks. In Triberg im Schwarzwald you can see the world's largest such clock, and numerous watchmaking workshops offer the opportunity to see the work of making clocks and to buy ready-made products.

The buildings in the center of Triberg im Schwarzwald are very traditional, with houses with sloping roofs and painted exterior walls. Many of them also have wood carving decorations and clocks hanging on the facades and windows. The clock-making traditions as well as the history and culture of this area can be found in the Black Forest Museum.

The Triberg im Schwarzwald area has many scenic attractions. Numerous hiking trails lead through the southern Black Forest. The most frequently visited place is the Triberg Waterfalls, which in a multi-stage cascade fall from a height of over 150 m. There is a walking trail leading to them, and there is a bridge over the waterfall.
