Hyères is a historic city on the Mediterranean Sea and one of the oldest resorts of the Cote d'Azur. Its attraction is primarily the surrounding islands, including Porquerolles with beautiful beaches and protected by the Port-Cros National Park.

The oldest part of the city is concentrated on the slope and the summit of a coastal hill. In the past there was an Anjou castle. In its place is currently a viewpoint. The oldest monument of the city is the 12th century Templar Tower, which is a remnant of the order's order.

The Old Town itself has a charming atmosphere thanks to its narrow streets, stone houses and small squares hidden between buildings. In the seaside part of the city, you can see the modernist Villa Noailles, which now houses the Center for Art and Architecture.

The area around Hyères has been fortified in the past. To this day, old forts can be seen on the rocks by the sea. The largest of them is Fort Fondue, currently abandoned and can only be visited from the outside.

Next to the Old Town, the most important attractions of Hyères are the coastal islands. At Porquerolles, boat lovers take a boat trip from the local port. They are clean, covered with golden sand, and with blue sea waters create a unique scenery for rest. Nature lovers, in turn, can go to Port-Cros National Park on the island of the same name. It covers both the rocky, undergrowth island and the surrounding sea waters.

Hyères is a recognized and popular resort, but with a holiday character it has also retained the charm of a seaside, quiet town. People who like entertainment and active leisure will also find something for themselves. Magic World operates here - an amusement park with numerous carousels, slides and water attractions.
