Created in 2012, the national park protects a section of the coast between Marseilles and Cassis, full of small bays surrounded by steep cliffs reaching up to 350 m. In the limestone rock, many picturesque depressions and grottoes were created, of which the Cosquera Cave with paleolithic wall paintings is best known.
