Løkken is a seaside resort town on the North Sea. In its vicinity is the famous Rubjerg Knude lighthouse, which was moved inland to prevent it from collapsing. There are also many military monuments from World War II.

The history of the town dates back to the 17th century. It was primarily a fishing village, where the first summer vacationers began to arrive at the end of the 19th century. They were mainly attracted by the wide, sandy beaches, which are among the best on the North Sea.

Today's Løkken is primarily a tourist and recreational destination. The main, wide and sandy Løkken beach is well developed, and in high season you can rent a beach house here. Next door is Løkken Pier perfect for walking. You can also go for a long walk to the wilder Lyngby Beach.

Due to the popularity of Løkken as a family vacation destination, there are many attractions for children and adults. These include Family Farm amusement park, Løkken Miniby miniature park, Action House Funcenter Løkken kart track and Event-Park Løkken.

During World War II, the vicinity of Løkken was fortified due to its strategic location. Today, you can see the remains of shelters and defense points, such as Furreby Coastal Batteries, Radio Station Bunker, and Fallen Bunker.
