Bindslev is a small town on the North Sea. It is located at the northern tip of the Jutland Peninsula and has access to sandy wild beaches.
The area around Bindslev is sparsely populated and allows you to stay in touch with nature. The Tversted Lakes are a popular excursion destination in this area. You can also see the small Bindslev Gl power plant. built on the river and using sills and weirs. There is the Fisketrappen, a special water chute creating picturesque thresholds, which are also used to fish through the dam.
Bindslev is close to the coast and not far from the wide sandy beaches of the North Sea. the most famous is the Tversted beach surrounded by low dunes, which is eagerly visited in summer by lovers of relaxation away from cities and popular resorts.
