Vlorë is Albania's third largest city. It is located on the southern part of the coast and is a popular holiday resort. There are 15 km of sandy and pebbly beaches with good development, as well as numerous hotels and guesthouses.

Vlorë was founded during the Greek colonization in the 7th century BC, and in the following centuries passed under Roman, Byzantine and Turkish rule. The 16th-century Murada Mosque is located here. On the Kazum Baba Hill above the city there is the seat of the Muslim sect of Bethsites, which can be visited.

The vast majority of the city has modern buildings from the post-war period. Communist blocks mix here with modern construction. There are many hotels, apartment buildings and guesthouses.

Beaches in Vlorë are very diverse and go from wide, sandy in the north to narrow and rocky south of the city. And the last ones, short and located in coves, you can see interesting rock formations, and thanks to the bright stones, the water here has an intense blue shade.
