National Museum of Independence

Established in 1936, the museum is housed in a building where Ismail Qemali, Albania's first prime minister, served in 1912-1914 and debated the first democratically elected government. The reconstructed rooms from the beginning of the 20th century present documents and objects related to the revival of an independent state.
