Quarten is a tourist destination in the Alps and a ski resort. There are several dozen kilometers of slopes for skiing and snowboarding.
The town consists of several villages situated in a mountain valley on the shores of Lake Walensee. This makes it a center of both summer and winter tourism. In summer, you can enjoy water sports and enjoy numerous hiking trails, while in winter, there are numerous ski slopes in the area.
The ski area in the vicinity of Quarten has several dozen kilometers of slopes intended for skiers and snowboarders. There are also many lifts here, such as the Unterterzen-Flumserberg cable car, the Maschgenkamm-Arve cable car and the Chrüz Tannenboden cable car. The resort also has a year-round Floomzer toboggan run.
