Bara is a town adjacent to the Renaissance Torup Castle. Due to the large number of forests and groves, the area is a good place for active tourism.
The village has existed since the Middle Ages, and its oldest monument is a Romanesque-Gothic church. The most important historical attraction of Bar and the surrounding area is the Torup Castle with the Castle Park, which is open to the public. Next to it is the Expo Torup exhibition center.
Although Bara has a long history, its buildings mainly date back to the 19th and 20th centuries. In a former brick workshop built in the 19th century, you can visit the Skåne State Museum with collections related to the history and culture of the region.
The vicinity of Bar is overgrown with forests and groves. There are also many meadows and farmland. In summer, you can go hiking and biking here. A popular destination for them is the Bokskogen forest. In winter, cross-country skiing is popular.
