Lazise is a holiday village on Lake Garda, known for its picturesque setting and the large Movieland theme park . There is also a nicely preserved old town and a port from which you can go on a cruise on the lake.
The oldest part of the village is surrounded by medieval walls connected with the Scaliger Castle built for its owners. The Old Port with moored boats, yachts and excursion boats cuts quite deep between the colorful houses. Next to the port there is also the main square of the city, Wiktor Emanuel Square , surrounded by tenement houses and full of cafe gardens. Due to the ubiquity of water in the old town, Lazise is often called Little Venice.
From the 18th century, Lazise began to develop as a holiday resort. The shores of Lake Garda, from which you can see the snow-capped peaks of the Alps, are perfect for both lazy relaxation and active leisure. The city is a good starting point for hiking, biking and water sports such as kayaking, pedalo and water skiing.
Lazise's biggest attraction is the Movieland Park, which offers attractions for the whole family. Together with the adjacent water park, it forms the Canevaworld complex, one of the largest Italian amusement parks.
