Kifisia is a city that is part of the Greater Athens. It is considered an exclusive and leisure district. There are many restaurants and bars as well as entertainment centers. The attraction is the Goulandris Natural History Museum.
The district was founded on the site of the ancient city of Ephesus. There are not many monuments, and the oldest buildings come from the Turkish rule. There are several old mosques and churches here. The most impressive church is the 19th century St. Demetrios Kifissia.
The center of the district is Kifssia Town full of pubs, bars and entertainment venues. There are also numerous shops and boutiques as well as shopping centers. The Kifissia Park, which often hosts local fairs and outdoor events, serves a rest.
A great attraction of Kifissi is the Goulandris Museum of Natural History, which presents, among others, skeletons of fossil animals or collections of fossils. There is also the Drossinis Museum, located in the villa where this poet lived at the turn of the 20th century.
