Benaki Museum

The museum was founded on the basis of the collection of the Greek statesman Antonis Benakis. He gathered a huge collection of antiques and monuments from the Bronze Age to World War II. Among them, the most valuable are Byzantine icons, reconstruction of a Macedonian room from a mountain residence, and a collection of traditional costumes from various regions of Greece.
