Les Déserts is an alpine village whose surroundings are a year-round area for active tourism. Cross-country and downhill skiing in winter and mountain hiking in summer.
The town has scattered, traditional buildings, and in its center you can visit a 19th-century church. The stone houses have steep, hipped roofs and wood-clad attics with balconies. There are many guesthouses in the village, but there are no large hotels or resorts, which makes rest here very peaceful.
The biggest attraction of Les Deserts is the local ski resort of La Féclaz. It is a paradise for people who like cross-country skiing, with around 140 km of trails waiting here. There are also downhill runs, about 25 km of varying difficulty, that ensure both beginners and advanced skiers have fun.
In summer, Les Déserts' strengths are the surroundings of the Massif des Bauges Natural Park. The scenic routes and numerous viewpoints encourage you to wander.
