Premantura is a holiday resort on the southern edge of the Istrian Peninsula. There are sandy and pebble beaches here, and the big attraction is the possibility of boat trips to the surrounding, uninhabited islands.
South of the town's buildings there is the picturesque Cape Kamenjak, which is famous for its coves, recreation areas and numerous walking paths. You can also ride bikes in the area and spend time actively by the water. Windsurfing, sailing and water skiing are especially popular.
Around Premantura there are many nice beaches. Some of them are located in private bays. The larger ones are usually developed with the possibility of renting sunbeds or floating equipment.
Due to its location, Premantura is a good base for exploring the surrounding, deserted islets. On many of them you can sunbathe alone, but you must remember to bring equipment, food and water. The most famous island is Porer with a lighthouse turned into a holiday apartment, and trips to the Brijuni National Marine Park are also very popular.
