Ormont-Dessus is a resort town in the Bernese Alps. The Glaceir 3000 ski resort is located here, and in summer the area becomes a center of active recreation and extreme sports.

Part of the village is the settlement Les Dieblerets lying at the foot of the massif of the same name. Its highest peak is 3210 m above sea level, and there are numerous cable cars and chairlifts in the village. The most important of these is the Glacier 3000 cable car that reaches the summit of Scex Rouge 2,971m. A metal bridge has been installed on the top, which allows you to walk over chasms and a rocky ridge.

In winter, visitors to Ormont-Dessus can enjoy numerous activities related to active recreation on the slopes. There are several dozen kilometers of slopes of varying difficulty, as well as freeride slopes, cross-country ski runs and a toboggan run. You can also take advantage of the offer of ski schools and excellent recreational and leisure facilities in the form of numerous spa and wellness facilities.

In summer, many lifts and cableways, such as the Glaceir 3000 cable car and the Col du Pillon cable car, allow tourists to get to viewpoints and to higher-lying trails. In addition to mountain trips, you can also ride a bike on excellently prepared mountain trails, climb, paraglide, use the golf course and outdoor and closed swimming pools. Excursions to the Scex Rouge Glacier led by experienced guides are very popular.
