The monumental cathedral was built in 1936-1941. Its architecture features Renaissance, Ottoman and Byzantine elements. The interior is decorated with frescoes, whose completion was interrupted by the outbreak of World War II. The building attracts attention with 11 towers, the highest of which is 96 m high.
