There are numerous hiking trails and paths, which additionally provide wonderful views of the coast.
The main attractions of Sao Jorge include the local scenery. The cliff coast, numerous bays and river valleys cut into the mountain ranges create a wonderful environment that is perfect for long hikes. The Beira da Quinta and Vigia viewpoints are great places to admire the views. There is also the Ponta de Sao Jorge lighthouse on the coast.
