Palheiro Gardens

The garden was founded on one of the hills surrounding the capital of Madeira at the beginning of the 19th century. Many of the trees found here still remember the times of the first owners of the area. A collection of tropical plants and one of the best camellia collections in Portugal. The garden due to its location also offers beautiful views of Funchal.
