Ribeira Da Janela is a village in Madeira situated in a deep river valley. Surrounded by steep slopes, it lies close to the coast, which is known for its amazing rock formations.
The town has only a few dozen houses and is beautifully integrated into the landscape. The attractions of Ribeir Da Janela include mainly the local rock formations and wonderful views of both the ocean and the river valley. The most famous of the coastal rocks are Ilheus da Ribeira da Janela and Ucho Igielne. In turn, a great place to admire the panoramas is the viewpoint Ribeira da Janela.
Near the town, near the mouth of the river, there is also a small beach, Ribeira da Janela, covered with gravel and small stones. It is surrounded by steep, rocky cliffs, and smaller and larger rocks protrude from the water, which give the surroundings a fairy-tale character.
