Warsaw Powiśle Railway Station is located on the railway linking Warsaw West and Warsaw Rembertów Station. The station is served by the Mazovian Railways and the Rapid City Railway. At the station there are two platforms covered with original concrete shacks and ticket offices. Since 2009 in the lower pavilion at ul. Kruczkowski, formerly a cashier, is located in the popular Warsaw Powiśle clubhouse.

The station was built between 1954 and 1963. Its designers were architects Arseniusz Romanowicz and Piotr Szymaniak - the designers of the Central Station. During the construction part of the historic neo-Renaissance pavilions located near the bridge of the Poniatowski Bridge. Initially, the station was to be called "Warsaw Skarpa".

The architectural form of the station was appreciated by the Swiss architectural critic Werner Huber, whose Warsaw railway stations designed by duo Romanowicz-Szymaniak called "pearls on rails".
