In the building of the gas plant and gas depot, its headquarters is the Gas Engineering Museum.
Gazownia Warszawska, in its glory days at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, was the largest producer of coal gas. At that time, the gas was consumed by a large number of consumers, for example, for lighting up cities - gas lanterns in the street.
In the 70s of the 20th century, the production of gas from coal was ended, replaced by less harmful natural gas. Gas station was closed, its equipment was for scrap. At the Gas Museum you can read the history of this place and see historic buildings.
