Diocesan Museum in Opole was established in 1987. There will be two permanent exhibition halls - the Medieval Sculpture Hall and the Eucharist Hall, as well as the Variety Hall.
In the Medieval Sculpture Hall, you will find mainly collections of Gothic sculpture, painting, western icons and old prints. The Eucharist serves as a vault. There are liturgical vessels, made by local goldsmiths - chalices, monstrances, reliquaries, robes, missals, parades, books and much more.
The Diocesan Museum in Opole was the first museum after World War II built from scratch. Its main task is to expose, preserve and protect sacred objects from the territory of the Opole province.
