Orthodox church of St. Nicholas

Local name: Cerkiew św. Mikołaja

The church complex in Dobra is part of the Podkarpackie Wooden Architecture Trail. Its most valuable element and the only such monument in Poland is probably a three-story gate bell tower erected probably at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. It is unique because it has a chapel in which the iconostasis was located, thanks to which it could serve as an independent temple. The former Greek Catholic church of St. Today, St. Nicholas is a Roman Catholic church. Exaltation of the Holy Cross. In the well-preserved interior, you can see a classicistic iconostasis, a church altar, a polychrome and processional banners decorated with Ukrainian folk embroidery.

The church was founded in 1879. It has a log construction and is oriented, i.e. its presbytery points to the east. The interior of the temple is largely the work of Bogdanscy, known church painters from around Kalwaria Pacławska. During World War II, the church was damaged and rebuilt, and its original appearance was not restored until the beginning of the 21st century. Since 1946, the temple has been serving Latin Catholic rites.
