The Folk Architecture Museum is the first and the largest ethnographic museum in Poland in terms of gathered display units. It is located on the hills in Biała Góra district near the San River. The park is presenting the material culture of people of Bieszczady, Beskid Niski and Podgórze. It is mostly a world that disappeared because of postwar resettlements of Russians. The museum consists of three historic Orthodox Churches, wooden church and courtyard.
The park is divided into few sectors that correspond with the division into ethnographic groups of former residents of the south Podkarpacie. The largest ones are dedicated to the Lemkos and Boykos, Russian highlanders from Bieszczady and Beskid Niski. Their single-building farmhouses can be found here. One cottage has both residential and agricultural part. Apart from that, three Orthodox Churches are located here: from Grąziowa, Ropek and Rosolin. Each is fully equipped.Podgórze culture is represented by Polish inhabitants of Podgórze but also by Ruthenians and Dolinians. The park has the last known cottages with a niche which is typical for Dolinians. Other sectors are dedicated to paraffin industry and court culture. Wooden synagogue from Połaniec is currently being rebuilt. It will stand on the edge of Galician Market, which is the newest museum sector. Recreated workshops, shops and traditional Jewish cottage with sukkah can be found in houses that surround the market. The park also has shops with handicrafts and an inn.Less
