City Park Adam Mickiewicz is located in the center of Sanok, on Parkowa Mountain. It is the largest mountain type city park in Poland. Under the peak there is a viewing platform. There are several monuments in the park, including the Tadeusz Kościuszko Monument. The summit of the hill is called the Adam Mickiewicz Mound.
The park was founded in the second half of the 19th century, according to the design of the city architect Władysław Beksiński. It was a public garden with gazebos and resting places. Today it is also a popular walking area for Sanok residents.
There is a Chopin spring in the park, near which a commemorative plaque was built on the 100th anniversary of his birth. There are also buildings of the former municipal water supply. The most important monument in the park is the statue of Tadeusz Kościuszko. Four memorial plane trees planted in 2010 for scout activists Andrzej and Olga Małkowski, Albina Wójcik and Czesław Borczyk grow in the park.
