Begijnhof

It used to be the home of the beginners - a secular religious association of women from the 12th century. A group of houses built around the courtyard was built in the fourteenth century. It is worth seeing the beautiful Gothic facades. The wooden house number 34 is the oldest residential house in Amsterdam.
