San Vito Lo Capo is one of the most famous holiday resorts in Sicily. Its advantage is a wonderful sandy beach, considered to be one of the most beautiful in Europe. The town is also a great base for exploring the Zingaro Reserve, which can be reached by boat.
Although the town does not have a historic center and a baroque or medieval old town known from other Sicilian cities, it has its own charm. The coastal Zingaro Reserve is also among the attractions of the area. It covers a fragment of a rocky coast with numerous coves and meadows and Mediterranean shrubs located on the plains. You can get to know it either on foot or by taking a boat or catamaran cruise from San Vito Lo Capo.
