Finale Ligure is a holiday resort and an important center of active tourism. The surrounding mountains are especially fond of cyclists for their training, while the sea is conducive to water sports.
The main attraction of Finale Ligure is the longest sandy beach on the Ligurian Riviera. It is equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, there are bars and water equipment rentals. Along the beach there is a scenic promenade, which in the season turns into the center of evening entertainment. At its end there is a short stone pier in Varigotti.
Along the sea and the beach, contemporary buildings with hotels and holiday apartments dominate, but a bit further, in the historic center, you can find the atmosphere of a former seaside town. There are some nice historic churches here, such as the Romanesque Church of St. Francis or the baroque basilica of St. John the Baptist, the medieval Castle of Castelfranco and the baroque Arc de Triomphe.
