Basilica of the Santissima Annunziata del Vastato

The church was built in the 16th century for the convent of Franciscans, which after the Council of Trent was adapted to new liturgical requirements by creating a wonderful interior decoration. It is a three-nave building with a transept and a dome over the intersection of naves. The interior is divided by columns, and the walls and vault have huge, Baroque frescoes and large-format paintings.
