The Renaissance palace of the Balbi family, which in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries also remained in the hands of the royal family. Since 2006, along with other Renaissance palaces of Genoa and Strada Nuove, it has been included in the UNESCO list. Richly decorated interiors with valuable works of art, wall paintings and handicraft products are open to the public.
