Garibaldi Street

One of the most important and longest streets of the Old Town of Genoa. It belongs to the so-called Strade Nuove, which was created in the mid-sixteenth century. They were marked out for the expanding city and they began to be built in accordance with the plan imposed from above. Over the next century, palaces and grand tenements of the wealthiest merchants and aristocrats were built on the street. Today, the entire foundation of Strade Nuove is on the UNESCO list.
