Bardolino is a tourist destination on Lake Garda and a good base for exploring the important towns in the area, such as Verona or Milan. It is famous for the production of red and rosé wine and the cultivation of olive trees.
The town has nice, historic buildings, among which the valuable Romanesque church of San Zeno stands out with an interior covered with frescoes from the 12th century. In addition, there is also the Bardolino Port with many sailing and motor boats.
The surroundings of Bardolino are very picturesque and olive trees have been grown on the surrounding hills for centuries. There is an Oliwa Museum in the city, where you can take part in shows of its pressing and learn about the traditions of production.
