Falasarna is a resort town in Crete known for its wonderful sandy beach that stretches for many kilometers and is rated as one of the best in Greece.
The village has ancient roots and the archaeological site of Phalasarna is in its vicinity. On its territory, you can see the remains of ancient temples and residential buildings, as well as the stone Throne of Poseidon, the king of the seas.
The biggest attraction of the village is Falasarna Beach. It consists of several parts, including the so-called Little Beach famous for its beautiful sunsets. What is unusual for Crete, the beach is very wide and sandy. Only a small part of it is covered with rocks. A large part of the beach is well developed, with sun loungers and umbrellas and numerous bars in the vicinity. There are also water equipment rentals. The parts further away from the town are, in turn, quieter and you can relax there with your own beach equipment.
